I am thrilled to report that we are leaving on a jet plane tomorrow morning, bound for the beautiful Evanston, Illinois for the CMS Expo. Four days later we'll leave from Chicago to hop the pond over to Kerkrade, Netherlands for JandBeyond.

2011 CMS Expo

This will be our third trip to Evanston for the 2011 CMS Expo, which is not only the best Joomla event in the states, but the most diverse CMS event. Don't let the corporate-style website fool you, this is a 3 day party put on by John and Linda Coonen of the CMS Association. I give much of the credit for any success we've had to the CMS Expo. Sure, end users can gain bountiful knowledge by attending the event, but for us the face time and connections made there have been cornerstones to our Joomla businesses. You just can't beat the perfect mix of nerd power, music and booze found at John's NXNW pub crawl. I also look forward to chatting w/ Ryan, Dries, and other Drupal folks I had the pleasure of meeting last year.

My 2011 CMS Expo Presentations:

This year I have the honor of delivering 2 presentations: Transform you Joomla Dashboard and Mobile Joomla. The former will cover all the knowledge I've gained by running this site (AdminPraise), the later is all about Joomla + iPhone/iPad/Andoid and more tricks I've gathered while developing TapTheme.

2011 JandBeyond

We'll have to practice a slight bit of moderation at CMSX, because afterwards we head out for the 2011 JandBeyond. This is the 2nd JaB, and we're thrilled to attend after hearing stories of 2010 and the phenomenal planning by Robert Deutz. I'm personally thrilled to finally meet "the rest" of my Joomla developer friends (most of whom seem like they'll be lots of fun trouble). I'm gonna be honest, I've never heard of Kerkrade and have to go to jandbeyond.org every time I go to spell it, but I hear great things about the Netherlands. If you're attending this one come check us out, most of the new AdminPraise team (mentioned here) will be there, as well as Tobias (lead dev of Projectfork). You'll also catch 2 of my fellow eBay brethren there, so come and chat with us.

My 2011 JandBeyond Presentation:

I'm pumped that my proposed session: Making Joomla's Admin Interface Awesome was approved and added to the program.

If you've read this long and haven't fallen to sleep, you deserve a reward!

We're so excited about these 2 Joomla events we're taking 25% off all AdminPraise, Projectfork and TapTheme products in our store with the coupon: cmsxjab2011

We'll leave this coupon active until we get back home to Austin, Texas :) Speaking of Joomla events and Austin...
