First Featured Component: Joomailer
Joomailer is a component that fully integrates Mailchimp with Joomla from freakedout. I've been working with Alexis and the freakedout team on AdminPraise3 development. Alexis and his team were inspired by the mockups of AP3 and created an admin module to place on the AP3 dashboard. We then added Main Menu and Quick Add links to make for a more seamless user experience, and truly make this Newsletter component feel like it was part of the Joomla CMS, and not just an addon.
A Poster Child Was Born
Joomailer is the perfect case study of where we can go from here. When you're using Joomailer in AP3 with the integration turned on and the admin module on the dashboard you really get a good feel of how components can become the focal point of the CMS. Imagine doing this with your other favorite components.
Integration 1: Dashboard Module
Get all the important info from recent activity right in your Joomla dashboard. We're reaching out to other devs and encouraging them to build similar modules now.
Integration 2: Main Menu Item
Add a main menu item linking right to your favorite component and choose which user group sees this link.
Integration 3: Quick Add Item
Once the integration is turned on, a shortcut to add an item to this component will be displayed in the Quick Add Menu.

What's Next?
We're just skimming the surface here. There are already AP3 integrations for many popular components like K2, Tienda, VirtueMart, Projectfork, FLEXIcontent, Zoo, Ninjaboard, Sobi, and Kunena. K2mart and Tienda already have great admin dashboard modules and more are on the way!
Even More Integration In Full Version of AP3
The Lite version of AP3 will be completely free and feature the integrations I explained here. The current version will become the free/lite version once we have an Alpha release of the Full version. This Full version will feature much more granular control of integrations.
