Big Thanks To The new AdminPraise Team Members
I'd first like say "thank you" to the growing AP Team! This release would certainly not be possible without them.
We've partnered with the rapidly growing team FreakedOut (the guys behind Joomailer), which gives us infinitely more dev brain power. Alexis Sotir, Daniel Dimitrov (from Compojoom) and Matias Aguirre (from jUpgrade), Eddie Abner, Peter Ader, Kelsey Brooks, and Ken Lyle will all help take AP to great places. Last but certainly not least, Melinda Ledbetter (my wife @cmschica) is now a full time team member who will lend her poetic technical skills and help corral all this crazy new talent.
We'll go into more detail on the new team in our next post. Now onto AP3!
Automated Install Process
You no longer have to go through a tedious install and setup process for AP3. One file. One easy guided setup process.
Install the component, click next a couple of times, and redirect to the component
last step, enable the template and have fun!
Admin Menu Manager
The cornerstone of the AP3 component, the Admin Menu Manager gives you full control over all admin menu items, in a user experience you already know
You simply click New to create a new admin menu item and select the type
Adjust your settings, set ACL, pick an icon and you're done!
Live Updater
The second most important feature is a fully integrated live updater (courtesy of Nicholas from Akeeba). Check for updates here and enjoy 1-click updates to the most recent goodness from AdminPraise. Live updates will allow us to roll out incremental updates at a more rapid, regular pace.
ActivityLog Pro, QuickItem Pro & SCE Editor Included
When you install AP3, ActivityLog Pro & QuickItem Pro will automagically show up on your dashboard! Our mobile-friendly SCE editor is also installed, and will automagically activate when you visit your admin site from your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Help & Docs
Built-in tips on all areas of AP3 are located in one convenient spot, but honestly, with the simplicity of the installer and updates you probably won't even need help :)
3 More Weeks at $49!
You can grab this evolution of the Joomla admin site for only $49 during the last month of the beta phase. Start May 1, AP3 will go up to the normal (but still reasonable) price of $69. As always, AP3 is also included in the AdminPraise Bundle.
AP3 is currently only available for Joomla 1.5. We'll start migrating all this AP3 goodness over to Joomla 1.6 soon as well!

Installation/Upgrade
We recommend uninstalling the standalone AP3 template first, then installing the new component and going through the easy setup. Moving forward you'll get to enjoy Live Updates!
