Stainless Preview
We're getting closer and closer to an Alpha release for Stainless. We've got it installable, but are chasing down a few nagging bugs before releasing it. Admin Bundle owners will get first crack at the Alpha, and then we'll offer it individually once it's a fairly stable beta.
Check out the video below to watch the installation process, which should feel familiar to AP Lite users. It gives you a good idea of how Stainless feels in use.
Stainless Coming Along Great!
Development of Stainless is coming along smashingly. I just wanted to post some images of several screens of the current status.
We're really focusing on a user interface that is intuitive and offers feedback while buttons are depressed. We also want to focus the latest Joomla technologies such as K2.
More soon!
How do I remove the help button from the toolbar?
The Joomla help button is controlled by the core of Joomla and unfortunately can't be turned off.
As a workaround, we can hide it via CSS:
Edit the template.css of your active admin template (ex: for AdminPraise 2 edit /administrator/templates/adminpraise2/css/template.css)
and add this bit of CSS to the very bottom:
#toolbar-help{display:none;} AdminPraise 2 Version 2.4 Released
In the first time in a long while, AdminPraise 2 has been updated! It's no coincedence that right after we've got the new sites launched that AP2 receives an update. This is a direct result of a better infrastructure with the new K2 powered Joomla sites and the new store!

AdminPraise Gets Its Own Site!
We're thrilled to present the all new AdminPraise.com! The AdminPraise Joomla admin templates have long been some of our most popular templates, and people have loved our admin extensions, so we thought it was time to group them all together and give them the attention they deserve.
Installation and Setup
Here are some basic steps on how to install and configure your AdminPraise Lite Quick Icons!
Accessing Admin Templates Modules and Plugins
Admin Templates
Navigate to Extensions > Template Manager, and click on the Administrator submenu item

Administrator Modules
Navigate to Extensions > Module Manager, and click on the Administrator submenu item

Administrator Plugins
Administrator plugins are mixed in with regular plugins.
Navigate to Extensions > Plugins

Installing Admin Modules and Plugins
You install Joomla administrator modules and plugins just as you install regular Joomla modules and plugins.
Installation
Navigate to Extensions > Install/Uninstall

3 Methods of Installation
1. Upload Package File (most common method)
Browse for the zip or tar file of the extension.
Click Upload File & Install
2. Install from Directory
If the file exceeds your php file upload limit on your server (usually 2mb on shared hosting), you may need to use this method.
Unzip or untar the file locally (or upload the zip or tar via a Joomla file browser like NinjaXplorer and unpack) and upload to your /tmp directory in a new folder (ex: /tmp/myextension)
Enter the path to this file. Joomla will autofill the path to your /tmp directory for you, so you just add the new directory name.
Click Install
3. Install from URL
If the file is available online (usually free files) and you don't want to save it locally, use this method.
Copy the URL of the file location.
Paste in Install URL.
Click Install
Setting Up WP Icons in AdminPraise 2
WP Icons works best in our AdminPraise 2 template. This tutorial assume you've already installed and setup AdminPraise 2. If you haven't, visit the tutorial first.
After you've installed AdminPraise 2, we recommend using the WordPress theme, as it will make for a more seamless admin experience between Joomla and WordPress.

Installation
Login to your Joomla! admin and navigate to Extensions > Install/Uninstall.
Browse for the installable zip file on your computer and click Install

Setup Process
Navigate to Modules > Administrator.
Filter by mod_apicons and unpublish all in the apright1 and apright2 positions (skip this step if you wish to keep apicons published)
![]()
By default, WP Icons has no icons published, so edit the WP Icons module, edit the title to an appropriate title like "Dasboard" if you're selecting the Dasboard icons. Set the position to apright1. Set the ACL viewing permissions for the icons you'd like to display. (ex: for Dashboard set Dashboard and My Blogs to Super Administrator if you only want Joomla super admins to see the links)
![]()
Check the box next to the module and copy several times. Edit each module and repeat the last step.
Place modules in apright2, apright3, and apright4 to create new sets of tabs.

Don't forget, you can minimize the sidebar for a display very similar to WordPress' admin site!
