Written by Kyle Ledbetter Comments

ap2-unlock

We are absolutely thrilled to (finally) release AdminPraise2 Stable! We've chased down the latest bugs, packaged it up and put a bow on AP2.  Since AP2 is our flagship product, we've also put together a sales site at www.adminpraise.com, which features a few walk-through videos from yours truly (apologies in advance :) .  As promised, AP2 is available for individual purchase at CMS Market.

log-markI've added a new function to clear the log and reduced the price to $5...that's almost a %50 rebate! Furthermore, a narrowed free version is now available for you to check out.

AdminPraise2 RC 2.2 Released

Written by Kyle Ledbetter Comments

We've fixed some pretty big bugs with the JCE Admin, CQI Admin, and lots of IE bugs.  We've also added a few helpful features like the abilitiy to quickly add some custom url links to the AP Icons module(s), and also a new My Theme selection that allows different admins to use a different theme from the 6 available.

We're calling this release an RC since we won't be adding any major features from this point on, and just fixing bugs.

Reinstallation Instructions:

First backup and modifications you've made to the php, css, or image files.  Next, uninstall the adminpraise2 template in the Extensions Manager, then install the latest.  We've made changes to the bundled modules, so it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to run the setup process again, but be warned, this will BLOW AWAY all the existing modules in the  AdminPraise2 module positions, so backup your database if you've done lots of customizations.

AdminPraise2 Beta 2.1 Released

Written by Kyle Ledbetter Comments

ap2-featuredIn a fairly quick 10 day cycle, we've just released an updated version of AdminPraise2 Beta.  This update was mainly to address the critical errors people were having with PHP4.  We've also updated the Manager/Admin/Super Admin permissions in the menu, and all the corresponding modules so Manager and Admins won't see the stuff they're not suppose to see.

For those that have AP2 installed, simply reinstall with the new package, and run the installation process again, which will blow away all the menu items and modules, and setup the latest for you.  We've still got pleny of IE bugs to fix, we're addressing those next.

log-mark

We've just released our Activity Log admin module for individual download on AdminPraise and purchase on CMSM.  I had to blog about this because I really love this handy module+plugin combo.  If (for some strange reason) you're not using AdminPraise2, you can also install Activity Log and use it in the default Khepri admin template or AdminPraise1.

AdminPraise2 Themes

Written by Kyle Ledbetter Comments

We've just finished off the 5 themes for the upcoming and all new AdminPraise2! The default theme is totally new, and we've done all new versions of the themes found in AP1 as well.

I also wanted to make a special note that AdminPraise2 is not an upgrade for AdminPraise1.  AP2 is a totally new template, but builds on the brand we've established for AdminPraise1.  For JoomlaPraise subscribers, AP2 will be available in your downloads, but for those who have purchased AP1 elsewhere, AP2 will be a separate purchase.  AP1 will still be available and support for AP1 will continue.

ACL for Joomla modules finally!

Written by Kyle Ledbetter Comments

accesslevelmodI've never understood why Joomla comes with several groups (Public, Author, Editor, Publisher, Manager, Admin, Super Admin), yet the only choices for Access Level in viewing a module are Public, Registered, and Special.  What if I only want the public to view certain thinks like a message to register and not have registered viewers see it?  What if I want to hide something from everyone but Administrators?
