We've just rolled out an updated to our free Joomla 1.6 admin template AdminPraise Lite. This update provides some CSS style fixes for 3rd party components, specifically the cpanel icons in components.

When we developed AP Lite for J1.6 there weren't many components ready so we couldn't test them :P

Joomla 1.6 has arrived. Now that the 1.6 release parties are underway, 1.6 hangovers are kicking in along with the realization that it's time for everyone to update their templates and extensions for 1.6 stable!

First up for us is the updated version of AdminPraise Lite for Joomla 1.6. We had previously released a version of AP Lite for 1.6, but much of the admin code has since changed for the stable release, so updates were in order.

With AdminPraise3, we will begin ushering in a new era of collaboration and cooperation between the administrative interface of Joomla and the community extension developers that make Joomla what it is.

The default Joomla admin template has little or no integration with extensions beyond the mile-long component dropdown menu. AdminPraise3 will be "component-aware" and change the interface to feature installed components, since these components change the way you use Joomla.

This level of integration will require reaching out to extension devs and working with them to improve the Joomla user experience. In this respect, AdminPraise3 will be much more than a simple admin template; it will be a movement to improve the usability of the Joomla CMS. This is what the "Joomla experience" is all about. Reaching out and working with others around the globe with a common goal of improving our beloved CMS.

SubmitMailer Pro has just received and nice update. We've added email notifications for the Joomla CCK components K2 and FLEXIcontent.

Additionally, we've added notifications for items added or modified in the Joomla administrative backend.

SubmitMailer Pro has been updated for individual purchases and in our AdminPraise Bundle.

Just in time for some weekend fun, AdminPraise3 Alpha is available for AdminPraise Bundle owners!

I won't write an incredibly long post since I've highlight the features in previous posts (like here).

This is an Alpha, so you know the drill: Don't use it on a live production site, and we don't offer full support, just feedback.

You read that right, Santa has come early!

From today (Dec 10) until Dec 24, you get a FREE subscription to Joomlart.com when you purchase our AdminPraise Bundle.

That means when you purchase the bundle, you're not only getting all our awesome Joomla Admin Templates and Extensions, you're getting access to over 120 Joomla templates from JoomlArt.com, one of the industry leaders!

It's been a little while since the last AdminPraise 3 update (unless you've been following on twitter).  I can assure, I haven't been sitting on my hands. AdminPraise 3 development is very well underway and we'll have an early release for AdminPraise Bundle owners soon (within a couple of weeks).

So what's the current status? More after the break:

It's time for another installment (#7) of our Joomla 1.6 admin template concept series! Last time we covered an all new concept for the Module Manager.

This time we're covering something totally new to Joomla: Pages! The idea of a wizard to help create a new "page" (menu item) has long been a dream of mine, and has begun to pop up in the J!UX discussions. Essentially Pages would be a new admin component that would be a more user-friendly alternative to creating menu items.

Activity Log, our Joomla Administrator activity stream has just received an extremely useful update. Activity Log will now track admin activity in the extremely popular CCK components K2 and FLEXIcontent!

Tracking this activity will become extremely useful as more and more users move their content management over to those CCKs for the extra functionality and flexibility. We're going to continue with updates to track activity in Zoo, jSeblod, Sobi2, Tienda, and more very soon!
